Tournaments

We organize regular (approx. monthly) correspondence chess tournaments on Chess.com platform and regular (seasonal) live chess tournaments.

Live, in-person chess tournaments take place every third weekend of the month, in the afternoon (Saturday or Sunday—depends on various factors including weather; exactly agreed and published before the event itself) in Ljubljana in one of its most pleasant bars:

• NewCastle Pub (Map, Facebook),
• Sports park Savsko naselje (Map, Facebook).

Depending on the number of participants, the tournament is usually conducted according to the Berger system (round-robin or all-play-all), and the time control is blitz chess 10+0. An additional rule applies: if both players agree, they may also play the 960 variant.

Welcome are chess players of all affiliations and all levels of ability.
